Have MF/Lely sorted out their parts supply issues yet? Even if they have I'd rather go for a Kuhn.
What issues did you have with fusions? They're the combi of choice around here and I don't know of anyone having issues.

im thinking of going the combi route can’t decide between the Kuhn and lely balers what do he think??
I ran a vicon variable chamber combi a few years ago before running a lely 445 tornado variable also, the dna of the Kuhn is vicon but they both go well,I would say that the lely is a bit heavier built generally from the gearbox to chains, bearings and rollers but they both go well, the lely gobble a big swath and turn some bales out very quick and camless pickup is fantastic!,the vicon was not quite as fussy on the type of net and would spread it easier,I only have experience of variable chamber machines but both go well

Kuhn seems to be more popular. Welger Tornado's concept is great but not so sure how it works in real life. We would've loved to have a fixed chamber Tornado, but they weren't made back then. In the end there were Kuhn and McHale and we went with McHale, no regrets. Seeing the new Kuhn fbp's we might even go with them the next time we swap balers. That's unless McHale comes out with a wider pickup.

I’ve two lely 245 balers and have never had an issue with parts but then I rarely need bits for them as I send them to be dealer serviced every winter. I had a fusion 1 and when it hit 55000 bales it just broke our hearts trying to keep it going and the back up is brutal around here unless you buy a fleet of fendts aswell!!! Our lely dealer is second to none for service!!

Back up would be the other way round here, good McHale dealers and not so good Lely dealers. Lely parts supply only became an issue last year when Agco got involved and it may be resolved by now but I'd find out before buying. I know of tornadoes that were parked up waiting for parts and some tedder parts were out of stock too.

This is the one we used last year, has lots of advantages and lots of money to be saved on the plastic tying system over 10000 bales, brill intake, rotor disengagement, 3d wrapping and easy drive, we have some in stock and in terms of backup were only down the road

I ran the variable Vicon version of the Kuhn, it was a good baler but a bit on the weak side. I had my heart set on the pottinger but availability meant it wasn't an option. So there is now a Mchale fusion vario in my shed. After doing 600 odd bales with it in the autumn it has grown on me. This season will be the test.

As for the lely. I had one on demo when I was first looking at baler wrapper combinations. What an absolute disaster! From netting problems (net was supplied by the dealer) to wrap not overlapping properly and sensors causing us grief. There was a lot of the bales had to be rewrapped by another wrapper and those that hadn't didn't feed out well at all. I know this could be an isolated machine but I wasn't confident in the dealers ability to solve issues as well.

How did she run for ya?
Baler went faultlessly from when it arrived in July , done 4000 odd bales and I'm over the moon with bale quality and so are the customers, the ones who used film on film don't won't to see net again and others wanting to use it this year , the 3D wrapper put more wrap on the barrel of bale then the mchale orbital system
And rotor feeding the baler is best I have used
