Kuhn Megant calibration issue help…

Hi new to a Kuhn Megant this year.

Having trouble knowing where this black fine seeds metering roller needs to be for drilling wheat. It was sticking out when we got the drill but I can’t seem to work out where it’s supposed to be positioned when not in use. It works itself loose and falls onto the shaft that runs through it. Also it won’t push in seems like there is something blocking it?

Anyone had this problem before?

It's looks to be the same unit as on a venta drill bit land wheel drive. The two red arms should either clip in a grove near the gear that drives the agitator or turned 180 and clip into grooves in the flutes. Can just remember which way is which without looking. If the small seed part has slide out the metering unit it's a twit to get back in. Apply pressure to the right pushing it back into metering unit but at same time push the fingers inwards towards centre of rotor and it should go back in once everything lines up. Silicone spray helps it slide bit better. Took me a while to figure out the first time.

Have you also ever had any experience with the gears juddering a little when they get to a curtain point of rotation?

On the previous drill which was land wheel drive in its latter years of us having it, when calibrating it could judder a bit particularly if set for higher seed rates.
