Kuhn speader settings

Just been and looked at a 30.1 axis this morn.
Rep talked me through the app. Just had another look, sometimes the app suggests a different PTO speed for spreading border. That will drop travel speed compared to rest of field, and increase app rate. Little confused on this.
Alot fert suggests lower than 540, in which case I will be travelling slower!!

@zippy, just adjust the new lower forward speed on the app and it will tell you the new settings. The slower PTO rpm is obviously to stop it throwing to far on the headland.

I managed to get hold of someone at Origin the other day, regarding Kuhn Axis 30.1/40.1 settings for their 38N19S product (likely the same product, or similar). Maybe not much use as for S4 discs at 24m, but the drop point was 6.

I was going to plump for 6 anyway, as part way between urea and AS settings. That product is 75% urea and 25% AS iirc.

Sorry still confused.
In my spreading gear, with the revs for 540, I'm travelling 15km/hrs.
But when I'm doing headland the app says I now need 450rpm, therefore lower revs and lowering speed
So put the forward speed achieved at 450rpm say for example 13.5kph into the app, it will give new settings, see the example for 15kmh and 13.5kmh both the same application rate, but different settings.

So with the above fert I have to spread the main of the field at 540 and headland at 480.
So I will be travelling 15km and then 13.5km. The app will tell me both settings for the 2 speeds but that would mean I would have to stop an get out and change the settings between headland and main field??

Yes exactly, if you don't have a CVT tractor then to be spot on find a sensible speed (gear) at 480rpm and enter it to the app for new settings, so yes you will have to get out tractor to adjust.

A friend told me he just lowers the telimat and cracks on.

That's crazy. What's the point in having a hydraulic border if I gotta get out?
Also everytime I have a fert that the app says I need less than 540, I've got to travel slower?

No the telimat is an optional extra, the slower speed is if you don't have it fitted I believe.

My friend tells me he has never heard of anyone getting out the cab.

No you just need to know what speed your tractor does at the specified rpm. Just go a gear higher.

Brilliant spreaders by the way.

Thanks for trying to explain it to me.
The telimat is just the hydraulic limiter?

So basically set it for normal spreading and carry on?

The one in saw was advertised with s4 disc but infact had s2 🙄. Was only down the road, and seemed good-ish value. On 18m but want to future proof for 24m.
