Hi there We have been advised we need to move from S4 to S6 disc's to spread urea now we have moved to 28m from 24.
So do I need complete new disc's or just a set of vanes?

New discs. Be careful on S6s how far back they throw it.

On spring barley when only doing one pass with fertiliser you need to drive through the tramlines to get full coverage.

S6 discs are a bigger diameter than s4. S4 limited to 24m hence you need the bigger disc. The vanes are different too.

Our s6 disc will only go out to 24m. I have a set of nearly new s8s I might sell

(I’ve a new spare set with tungsten coated VXR+ vanes).

I've got a pair of good second hand s6 discs I would sell

They look good but after a tray test it seems the S4 will spread the urea to 28 metre's so we will be sticking with them for now. It seems we need to go back to 540 from 600 and drive slower so the original 24 settings aren't far off
