Yea it is. Sequencing valve is fineIs the plough straightening on the outer ram before turning over and then returning to width after turning? - Just thought it’s not a sequencing valve problem is it?
Nah just the oneIf you think it’s the tractor have you got another you can try it on?
Yes turn over is perpendicular. Ploughs running 90 degrees to the ground. And is the turnover angle of the plough correct?
Doesn't take much to make the plough crab if the landslides aren't perpendicular to the furrow bottom
have you tried with the 2 rams pulled the opposite ways?Front and rear wheel spacing is even.
I’ll take a video when I next use it. Won’t be for a week though.Have you a video of the plough working, someone might spot something not right quicker
Take from all angles and the adjustment rams tooI’ll take a video when I next use it. Won’t be for a week though.
Definitely same depth rear fur each way? The clamp for the wheel to the beam became a tiny bit loose on mine. Looked at everything before going back to measuring the furrow depth. There was a good half inch difference, and yes, it pulled beautifully straight one way, and pulled to the ploughing the other. Never told anybody I'd missed something so simple, so managed to cover my embarrassment..... Oh wait, bugger....Right,while theres a few kuhn ploughmen here
New to me vm122 5f
Ploughing right handed ploughs perfect, pulls straight
Left handed pulls to the furrows
I'm running out of ideas wondering if any of you guys can point to probably something simple I've missed
Yes 7 inch deep front and rear both waysDefinitely same depth rear fur each way? The clamp for the wheel to the beam became a tiny bit loose on mine. My plough needs one turnover screw to be a turn or two less than the other for it to follow straight both directions. Never have found why, and there's no obvious difference to the lean angle, but the landslides wear slightly tapered on the side that doesn't pull straight unless the stops are adjusted different lengths.
Is your tractor linkage worn unevenly? I'd one years ago that needed the right arm shorter than the left. Again I never got totally to the bottom of where the wear was, but put it down to many thousand acres cutting with a 10 foot side mower conditioner.
Are all the skimmers at the same offset from the points? The skimmer legs can be in line with the landslide, or turned to cut wider. There's also a grub on each leg for fine adjustment. It might pull offset if one side is cutting more than the other?
ive had a play in a different field this morning, its somewhere near, seems better out wide on 18sAre both (?) discs set the same ? or anyway try turning the lefthand one out a bit or not so deep .
iirc Beares told me once that most they sell to, set at 16 "ive had a play in a different field this morning, its somewhere near, seems better out wide on 18s
Are you certain that every mould board is throwing out the same width? Could it be you've one needing the stay adjusted, but not so obvious when they're throwing more soil at 18"?ive had a play in a different field this morning, its somewhere near, seems better out wide on 18s
I did check them when I got itAre you certain that every mould board is throwing out the same width? Could it be you've one needing the stay adjusted, but not so obvious when they're throwing more soil at 18"?
(He says, clutching at straws)
They are the importers through their company CKNZWhy Norwood? They’re not a Kuhn dealer?
but thanks I’ll give them a call
