KV 7515 Wrapper Problem

Hi all.

Having trouble with KV wrapper. The arm for catching the wrap is only ratcheting out a couple notches (an inch or 2 max)
When the machine tips the bale - the arm is not near far enough out to catch and cut the wrap.

Tried removing the jagged bar and filing the sections but has not helped.

Can anyone help with what to try next?

Thanks

Have you tried oiling the shaft that slides out?

Temperamental things. We had 2 KV wrappers in the past and they were both troublesome in that dept. Fiddled with them many times but never made much difference. We did find that running them a bit slower helped.

The arm that comes up from underneath has a little ball joint screwed in the end. You wind that in and out to adjust the throw in the pawl on the ratchet mechanism. Will probably only need a turn either way. Very sensitive

this
if you run it with no bale on you can see the mechanism working
it either not pulling back far enough to catch the next tooth on the rachet or not pushing far enough to catch the retaining pawl
