Is there any simple way to spread more on a piece you have already spread on?

If I spread the headland at the wrong rate, then want to go back and top it up what am I best to do?

Should I just start a new task, and do the extra rate….?

Switch off auto shut off go over it again then switch back on it'll colour it a different colour

On your screen that's colouring in as you spread second button down on the right just press that it switches off and on the section control.

Then just fire up the spreader manually and away you go

Why would it cause a problem?

The problem is more that my brain forgets to drop the border limited when starting the headland, and then raise it before doing the centre of the field!

If I do the headlands first, then raise it.....there's less chance of me forgetting!

I wish KV had integrated a beeping noise in the screen that would beep every few seconds when the limiter is down. 😂

2 flaws with your plan

No1 being unless you're not using boundaries you'll not can go back to a different field you fan only start and finish 1 field while using boundaries

No 2 satellite drift

Same if you're using a boundary and it's not where you want it just switch off the section control and it'll spread past it

Not currently using boundaries. Should I be?

You make a reasonable point about satellite drift, but if I do 3-4 fields at a time will it really drift that much in an hour or so? It’s only EGNOS signal so we aren’t talking cm accuracy anyway.

I only use them for grass or on ploughing as I'm going through the headland tramline. In cereals where I'm never out of tramlines I don't bother

I have a dymo label maker and write on various control boxes etc reminders about things like this. Our Bogballe did not have a warning that you were still on headland mode, fortunately the new Amazone is constantly reminding you. Chap who works for us admitted to spreading about 50 acres in headland mode but when it came to harvest we couldn't tell which field it was.

My worst was leaving the pipe off the meter of the Claydon drill after calibrating, and drilling 2.5ha before I realised. Of course it was at night and I was doing headlands, so concentrating on looking forwards...

On that topic - to prevent future errors on the border limiter I'm considering spreading a whole batch of headlands first in a block, and then coming back to do the middle of each field.

Anyone else do this?
In my opinion.

1. Mapping border lines in the memory of controller. You only save this data once per field for a lifetime, except if boundaries of a field change.
2. Starting a new task on every field.
3. Start border first. Checking if border limiter gets down.(the border limiter sign on the screen is flashing)
4. After completing a perfect round, get border limiter up. (the border limiter sign on the screen is gone)
5. Last spread in the middle.

P.s. I use Gfx-750 and can watch both drawing and spreading

Can I revisit this slightly as looking at a geospread ( new) but will put through the isobus screen on a 14 yr fendt 724, I may have to get it section unlocked ? But that aside is there any drawbacks to using the tractor screen ? I.e are all operations available and clear like the box?

Never used it through isobus but as far as I'm aware the only difference is you can't store or upload different fert from their autoset app as it's only on tellus but could be wrong

Run it through greenstar. All works fine, although never used tellus, so don't know what could be missing.
