@JohnDeere8530 There is a kverneland dealer in Ireland that will repair the blocks. He has put a lot of ploughs through his hands over the years and know them inside out. Those blocks can be quite troublesome. I can get his contact details if you like?

Good if we could get to bottom of this one friend bought new valve block as busy and had to get on in summer hopefully can get these things sorted other than chucking them away and then being stung for new one

I have a KV plough and LD85 -240 dating back to around 1999.

The valve block seems to have a problem whereby it moves the plough in line to start the turnover phase (via extending the angling ram), but once the plough is mid way over, the angling ram contracts and the end of the plough hits the ground. This has suddenly started happening. The valve is about 6 years old and hasnt done that much work.

I have been told its definitely the syncro spool block on the headstock and that these are prone to going.. Replacement cost is £1k... Is there anything that can be done to recondition these blocks ?

Hi .. am new member so bare with me .. got an ld85 5f kv which has also got a problem with the valve block .. it won't turnover but will go up and down when u turn the tap for transport mode .. I thought that I might of knocked the land wheel when turning it over. my mechanic has had every bit apart and put it back and still no joy and a new one is £950 from dealer..they also said that u have to have a new one as it's not cost effective for them to take apart as normally you will see nothing wrong with it .. surprise surprise ..I know that it's not the tractor and the spool valves as swapped them around .. need a bit of help on this one ..

I have had an Ld 85 with the same symptoms before. In the end it turned out to be the needle bearings in the headstock rather than the valve block.

They were breaking up which was causing more resistance when turning over. This extra resistance was causing the valve block to move on in the sequence causing it to pull the alignment ram in when it was half way over.

Worth a look before you rush to do the valve block.

Hi... you can move it freely from side to side and it sways .so I'm presuming that it's not the bearing .as it would ceased wouldn't it .. sorry for not including that bit in the question ..
