Took the hydraulic feed pipe off at valve block, there is a needle and spring then a grub screw that goes in at an angle to the middle of the block. This had come loose and was jamming the needle
Take care when unscrewing bits and bobs out of those blocks - you can find yourself on your hands and knees grovelling about in the stubble looking for what we call "Jesus Christ" parts - you know the ones, you take out a grub screw and something goes 'boing' and you say, "Jesus Christ, where did that go??":eek:

Phone Westlake plough parts. If they don't have 2nd hand, flowfit on the net will have, they call them by their technical names, but you'll find what you need at less than half kv price.

Is it driving u up the wall?
Well I have just been back in the workshop , took the old valve apart on the pressure pipe side & every thing looked good so were the spring holes the popit valve in i put a very small washer in between the spring & popit valve put it back together & put it back on the plough & it is working fine turns every time in the workshop, going to take the new valve apart tomorrow & have a look in it. just needs to dry up now so we can pull the plough with over 4" of rain this week things are soft.

I find it works ok in workshop
After two hours in field and oil hot it stops turning

Could anyone put up a photo of how these valve blocks are piped up? Friend bought one, quite old and obviously someone has fiddled/modified as the vari ram is separate from the main block. Apparently it will turn to close to the top but not actually then swing through TDC, as it were. The valve block is detached at the moment and not in the correct mounting place.
Thanks

Our ES95 was giving problems a few years ago. It was jamming when turning over and would kind of lock. To get it turning again I had to lay it gently on the ground and work the spool. Tried a new valve- no difference. Worked out it only did it when top link was set shorter. Now use the top slide hole for the top link and have had no problem since.
