Full spec kv here, been very impressed with it so far.
Looked at a Kuhn but wasn't keen on the way they used disc load to calculate the volume spread rather than weigh cells.
Had the kv on demo and ordered one the day after.

To be fair the Kuhn EMC system does work really well it was brilliant for imported nitrogen when you got a bag of damp sludge in 1 side and nice dry stuff in the other it worked out that one side was running slower I was a bit worried going to the kv for that reason but I've not had any bother so far I think the agitator is better on the kv so can cope with some dodgy fertilizer as well.

We have a lot of small fields so wanted to be able to weigh a part bag into the spreader rather than ending up with it half full at the end of the day. With the section control I can literally spread to the last half a kilo in every field now, it's great.

If they had more veins each disc and some way of compensating for hills it's a bloody good system but as it is it's not perfect.
If they had a continious turning agitator that would help why is it a staggered movement? KV is continuous.
Has Kuhn got a single incab box that displays everything? Does it have GPS full control without a 3rd party box... more cab clutter?
they poss have now, but most cert didnt 4 years ago. KV has such a box the Tellus, full split screen all at the same time.
Does there Actuators last longer ? Prone to Fail so i hear.
Have they got a Greasing point all all Agitator Bearings ? KV has/
Use quality fert thats been kept dry, ive never seen any issues that's noticeable to the naked aye with any blockages here
4seasons now using the KV Geospread @ 24m Full GPS Controlled Auto On/Off & Section Control in 2m blocks across
its spreading width.

Phil p - may I ask which model and controller?
We demo’d The TL but it was to big for us so bought the CL which is basically the same just scaled down, smaller hopper and discs and will only spread to 28m we’re on 24m. Think the TL will spread to 50m and hold 6 bags.
We got the big tellus screen as we liked the fact you can use the split screen to see spreader settings and use the guidance at the same time.
The jd screen isn’t usually in that tractor.

Interesting - I am due to have a sit down with the KV rep to talk about the CL Geospread because TL is rather pricey. Kubota do the same model but won’t put as many hopper extensions on. How many bags can you get in?

Why are you worried about hills? EMC machines are fine on hills? weigh cell machines on the other hand on hills... oh and you can have an EMC machine with a weigh cells as well to see whats in the hopper if your really want, but most save the money and have EMC without the cells in my experience as they are not used for the spreading calculation on the EMC machine.

With one extension it easily holds 2 bags probably 3 but haven’t tried as yet due to field conditions this year, I think it says a maximum of 2800L with additional extinctions in the book but don’t know how may 600kg bags that equates to.
The TL is 3900L which is a lot!

Edit,
sorry me been dum  it’s usually around a kilo to a Litre isn’t it! so a CL will hold just over 4 and half bags and a TL will hold 6 and a half bags. Prvided the right number of extinctions are fitted(y)
