kverneland taarup bed rebuild

Hi guys, Im currently rebuilding the bed on my 4028 kverneland Taarup. I was hoping someone here knew how to remove the intermediate gears from the bed. I have removed the bolts out of the underside of the shaft from the bottom of the bed. Does the shaft then need to be pressed out of the bed? Or can the shaft be punched out of the bed. Obviously the gear and bearing are then slid out of the end of the bed. Also does the gear then simply press off of the intermediate bearing?
Thank you.

The intermediates are held in with a boss. Little bolt and washer off the back then tap the boss out.
the bearings are retained by an internal snap ring that's impossible to get out. Once it's in it's in forever. You have to nick through the outer race of the bearing with gas axe then smash the bearing out.

How straight forward is the process of putting the new bearing and snap ring into the gear?
Cheers

It's easy to do. Just push them in with a vice and tap the snap ring in at the right time. There's a knack to doing it but it's easy enough.

I've had a red think now though. KV gears only have a very thin snap ring and you can press then out easily, it just shears the original ring into 2 or 3 pieces.
Then when you order the new bearings from bearing shop the snap ring that comes with them is totally wrong. So you end up re using the original broken pieces of snap ring and some loctite.
I've never had any joy buying the bearing with correct ring from main dealer. Think they only list the complete gear with bearing etc.
