Whereas the BLM rioters were not behaving like "Blackshirts" ? Who are you trying to kid ?

25 killed in Left Wing riots, god knows how many injured and lots of property burnt and looted.

But you want to pick on a 17 year old.

The Left are mentally ill.

My suggestion that you go away and read about Europe 1917-39 wasn't entirely serious, but given your reply I think you probably should.

No, the BLM rioters were not behaving like blackshirts, they were behaving like rioters.

A large part of the function of the blackshirts in Italy (and to an extent, Mosleys blackshirts) and the brownshirts in Germany was as a vigilante paramilitary/police type organisation and as part of this, they would turn up to "protect the interests of property" at protests/strikes/anywhere else where they felt the "natural order" was being challenged to mete out rough justice to whoever they felt needed "teaching a lesson". They did so, however with fewer semi automatic weapons.

Eric Hobsbawn's "Age of Extremes" is quite accessible......

I notice you said blackshirts, the Italians certainly did not riot like their German brown shirted Nazi cousins Krystalnacht anyone?

what would you have said about some yob turning up at the Jan the 4th rally and started shooting off claiming he was a just protecting himself from these rioters ;)

He wasnt defending his own property though, was he? That is the whole point! A 17 year old kid managed to get a gun that wasnt even his,and then crossed several County lines looking for trouble, when he shouldnt have been anywhere near the place.A complete idiot, and would have been told before hand that the verdict could go either way.He was very lucky.I dont buy that fake hyper ventillating stuff either in court when the verdict was given. With his boyish looks he would have been a magnet for every conceivable abuse in prison.
The post I was replying to suggest that some here wanted to be able to go and defend others property, I was making the point that as far as I can tell no one is suggesting that should be allowed here

Had he been attacked unprovoked by them first then it would have been self defence.
That's what we're trying to say, this was a textbook example of a self defence scenario..

I haven't seen one person who has said they want to "sort" out either group, nor have they wished to have an automatic rifle, however several including myself support the view that we should be able to defend our own property, that is completely different.
I should hope not but it doesn't really alter the point that if a society has easy access to arms then there's always going to be people who when aggrieved resort to their use.

Access to arms is easy if you want to in the UK, laws are only effective if people abide by them and accept the consequences of not doing so, those who want illegal guns and in the UK that is normally hand guns then they arent hard to obtain.

There is a world of difference between defending ones , life, family, property even neighbours, and going hundreds of miles, to sort out other peoples issues.
Hr worked in the town and his father lived there he spent the day cleaning up the mess left after the night befores riots i watched the whole trial on YouTube the bigest problem was the prosecution lied and malputated video evidence also the media was caught trying to follow and intimidate the jury

Krystalnacht? Where Jewish businesses were marked and then destroyed? Rather like the white owned businesses in the US riots. Did you see the photos of businesses displaying their black credentials to save themselves?

Teenage boys with rifles have served the British Army in high pressure situations all over the globe, and done so with distinction.

Kyle was 100% in the right. Such a shame the UK does not have similar weapon and self defence laws. There’d quickly be less poachers and quad thefts would cease!

Yeah, because nobody steals anything in the USA, do they?

In fact, remind me how the crime rate there compares to here?
Robberies about the same, violent crime much more prevalent in the USA

Comparing soldiers to armed vigilante groups is pretty sickening.

I know it is not to everyone's tastes but I see the Youtuber Legal Eagle has made another video explaining the judges reasoning and actions. I found his reasoning of why he lets the defendants pick their jury out of a hat and Rittenhouse was far from the first with him actually starting it after during the case of a black defendant when the a court official did the random selection and ended up removing the only black juror and didn't how it looked so he decided from then on that the defendant should be the one to blindly pick his jury.

You sir are a disgrace! Comparing a man who went into combat knowing that he would face the most fearsome weaponry known to man and superior to nearly anything his own forces had, to a kid whose enemy consisted of a deranged lunatic , a man with a skateboard and finally one with a handgun. His own firepower was far superior to anything he could ever expect to meet on his night out. If he had been a real man he would have gone unarmed as did many who were trying to keep the peace that night

Your opinion of me is immaterial.

Jul 25 a BLM protestor was shot dead whilst carrying an AK47. The Kenosha events occurred just under 2 weeks later.

Kyle was’t there to keep the peace, he was there to defend. This requires force. Do you think the same of the Koreans who spent nights in the roofs of their properties with rifles? Just as they did in the LA race riots of the 90s.

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.

Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy

On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.

Discussion with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) officers confirmed the site...
