You don’t think people have been put out of business and made bankrupt by these riots?

I use my quad every day for work. It’s kept under lock and key. It’s got an immobiliser and a tracker. I’ve taken every reasonable step I can to prevent its theft. Should it be stolen, at best I will be severely out of pocket due to cost to replace and increased premiums. The thief will be taking food out of the mouth of my son.

Were it legal, I would not hesitate to put a bullet into someone I found stealing my quad, or my dogs, or any other piece of my property.

Say the thief is on the quad and riding away. If it were legal, I’d shoot them in the back to recover my property. Its mine, I’ve worked damn hard for it and they have no moral authority to take it. If they value their life less than my quad, that’s on them.

Unfortunately we don’t live in such a society. Instead the nanny state protects the scum and penalises the hard working law abiding citizen. So I secure things as best I can I hope they target someone else. It’s pathetic and disgusting and morally bankrupt.
The fact that you value objects over a human life is your perogative.

I don't think that the penalty for something (that is distressing) but didn't cause injury should be death, sorry.

Being made bankrupt, potentially becoming homeless and all that entails is beyond “distressing”. I’d quite happily take a punch in the face and a broken nose over that.

I‘m not suggesting the penalty should be death. But I do believe people should have the legal right to protect their property with lethal force.

You said, you'd shoot someone stealing from you - that is death.

Its highly unlikely you (or anyone else with insurance) would be bankrupted over it, and even if you were, you would still be alive.

I‘d shoot someone to prevent the theft of my property. Of course I would. Were it not for their decision to steal, they’d not be shot. The onus is on them to not steal.

So you think it’s morally acceptable for me to become bankrupt and homeless because some oik is too lazy to work and fancied some easy money?

You'll become neither, but continue to indulge your murder fantasies.

You mean like the fact that those who are saying the is simple in the US and completely correct I don't think are aware it would have also protected any of the three he shot if they had shot him as they could have legally used the same defence.

What about the chain of events and the choices made by individuals? There will always be consequences and repercussions to actions taken especially those negative.

I have every sympathy for your stance , and am certain If I was on a jury and you were being tried for murdering a pikie taking off with your quad, I would like to think I would find you not guilty.
But this guy had gone looking for trouble, he was not in his home watching rioters come down the street to burn it down. it is quite likely the second two guys he shot were there to try and cool the situation. The argument was that he was chased down the street, is right , but they had just witnessed an apparent murder of a defenceless man, if they had disarmed Rittenburg and held him till the cops came, they would have been the heroes.

More pointless speculation, give it a rest. The more you post, the more obvious it is that you don't have clue what you're talking about. You don't even know what the guys name is.

It's almost spooky how good of a litmus test this case is...
Practically without fail everyone who is blaming Kyle hasn't read/watched the real testimony/footage of what actually went on that night.

What makes you think that ? You can’t possibly have contact with everyone who blames Kyle.

The story of Kyle is so past tents now. Haven‘t you lot moved on to yet another slaughter of four innocent school kids. Done by another kid who shouldn’t have had a gun, but it was provided by his parents.
Seriously fukkkkkd up society over there…..
