L200 07 salvage value

To cut a long story short. Balance belt came off and took the cam belt with it, the head is totalled !
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a reasonable salvage value ? I'm told by my local indy garage that 1200 to 1500 is the ballpark.
I'm not wanting to go down the recon engine route and the head repair alone is not cheap!
Any takers for the vehicle, registered as a van and located Somerset, Yeovil area.
