I was told by a hard labour supporter yesterday that 'if' Corbyn got elected there would be an immediate leadership challenge in the Labour Party to remove Corbyn and allow McDonald to take over .
Apparently quite a few of the 'Labour' canvassers are giving the story on the doorstep in Hfd .

It's awful, isn't it? Why didn't she just tell the truth? She probably read it 3 years ago and doesn't remember the minutae, or indeed perhaps she never read it. The country would appreciate honesty - it would give her an edge over Boris too in that regard.

She probably read it whilst fantasising about running naked through a wheat field hand in hand with Jeremy Corbyn & John McDonald.

DM made himself look a twit, it was obvious that she hadnt a clue what was in the report but why keep playing with her, as for Abbott why not just say it was three years ago I dont remember the details instead of pretending she did when it was clear to a three year old she was talking sh!t. some choice we have in politics these days

Not in that regard no, I've seen / heard several interviews in which Boris stated he hasn't read report XYZ.

Let's have a look at the documented lies you are so angry about, give us list, worst first. :)

Don't remember claiming to be angry - mostly I'm frustrated and disappointed that the politics of the country has turned out like this. A list would take too long, and they aren't retained in detail but purely as continuing frustration, but those that I'm immediately reminded of?

Blaming the EU "rules" for things that are nothing to do with them - perhaps the kipper packaging he spoke about at the leadership hustings?
The claims that raising the tax threshold by a small amount would give us all a huge dividend (I forget the numbers, but maybe £12.5k to give us £500 extra?), and refusal to accept he was wrong when the interviewer offered the new number?

As I write, those are two that came to mind straight off - the latter very similar in circumstance to DA, but differing in response that he is more eloquent when he is ill prepared, yet still not honest about his error/ ignorance.

Not good enough, give us specific lies; give demonstrable, knowing, untruths and I'll agree with you that they are lies and will condemn them. But don't be daft or naïve enough to include the political version of 'tradesman's puff', they all big-up their claims.

Now, I've heard Boris waffle on, many times, when he finds himself in difficult situations; but I am yet to hear him make a claim of knowing or having done something when it I demonstrably not so.

Whereas, just in the last 24hrs, JC and the gorgeous Ms Abbott have both lied through their teeth on TV, in JC's case about something utterly irrelevant and in DA's case about something very important to her role - if she had just stated that she couldn't remember the report from a few years ago there would have been no drama.

I'm no fan of Labour or the Conservatives, as you may recall, but you're being very very generous to Boris here. Must be the season of goodwill!

No, say, rather, that I am being less critical, and I think you'll be right. I just want to know which 'lies' he told. I think it is, in fact, just a rather successful Labour (lefty / liberal) catch-line, because they've done and are doing the same.

I'm not going to transcribe the whole speech, but highlights include:
"he has had his costs increased by Brussels beurocrats" "who have insisted that each kipper must be accompanied by this - a plastic ice pillow" - neither of those are true, and both of those are statements made by Boris. That was at probably the most important speech of his life to date, so he should have fact checked everything (and, personally, I have no doubt that he did, but then chose to present the lie as fact).

Now, as for DA - could you identify where she "lied through her teeth"? I presume that you are referring to the above referenced interview. I cannot see anywhere that she actually lied in that, so perhaps you could identify the specifics for me? She made a car crash of it, sure, but lied?

For me Boris's most alarming lie was when he said "we are coming out of the EU on 31st Oct come what may"

I don't really care what Corbyn says, my guess is that he'll disappear soon.
And he's still not dead in a ditch...

Add to the: will not renegotiate with Europe, no Irish border, 50,000 new nurses, 40 new hospitals, 350m on the side of a bus. He's been sacked previously and has a track record for being a liar.

It's interesting that people people can brush these aside and even defend them, but not with facts but by distraction of claiming another leader is also a liar or a worse devil.

It doesn’t take much of an internet search to find lies told by Johnson. He’s even been sacked a few times for lying. Lying comes so naturally to him that he doesn’t even recognise the lies. Mind you, most of his supporters have the same problem ?

Given the choice between a bumbler or a far Left Communist Terrorist supporter who's policies are for immigrants ?

Which one is most likely to destroy my way of life ?

Let me think a moment.

I’ll have a government moderated by a hung parliament thanks.

And get Tories aren’t exactly whiter than white when it comes to terrorist links either.

What is this "way of life" that you seek to preserve and what of other peoples "way of life" that may be different from your own?

The history of this island is one of conquer and immigration and not the kind where we were necessarily the victor.

What is your way of life that you see it being damaged more by labour than the tories ? If it’s just the farming I don’t see labour being any more of a threat than the tories.During the last ten years of a Tory government the NHS has been declared to be in crisis. The police service has had there numbers reduced. Schools are understaffed and underfunded. Public transport is a joke with overcrowded and overpriced trains etc. Etc.etc. But during this time the national debt has increased to over two trillion pounds.
