Ladbroke's on Brexit

If the GB goes for Brexit, IMO Cameron will be out within a few days to be replaced by Boris. Given a few months we would have a general election and there is just a possibility that comrade Corbyn could become PM which would return this country to the 1950's . Any ideas for the odds on this happening as I might just go and place a few quid at our local bookie as it might just be better money spent than on seeds, fertilisers and sprays.

I don't think that BoJo has any hope now of achieving high office. As one of the so called leaders of the Brexit campaign, his performance has been lamentable.
As for Corbyn, who spouted anti EU rhetoric most of his political life and suddenly had a Damascus conversion when becoming leader of the Labour Party - absolutely no chance. Had he stuck to his principles and adopted a Eurosceptic attitude, he might well have invigorated his party, which is I believe fundamentally of that persuasion.
Theresa May is the one I would be keeping a focus on.

Obama is no friend of the Brits as he has proven this weekend. I can only hope now that The Donald is successful in November.
Donald is providing a wake-up call and ruffling feathers. No bad thing from time to time but not a long term saviour of the world. Politics seems to work a bit like this, batting backwards and forwards from one extreme to the other. Unfortunately the middle ground is filled with festering corruption and power struggles. Nothing changes unfortunately.

Is this a bad thing the 50s we were self Sufcent and small farms of 50 acres with 20 cows were profitable

You have a point. When we started our dairy equipment business in the early 80's, a farmer with 80-100 milking cows had a decent standard of living, a newish car in the garage, a couple of holidays a year in sunnier climes, far less stress and pro-rata, a decent payment per litre for his endeavors. How things have changed! For the better? I rather think not!

If the government thought there was any chance of leaving we would not be wasting money having a vote, it's just to shut eurosceptics up once & for all.

We've got a vote because the government we have now had to offer it to gain power.

Says a lot about Cameroon and his crowd really.

Nothing of substance to offer the electorate to reel them in so we'll gain power by nicking another party's policys.

according to William Hill, they are calling it 28% leave, 72% stay. Find this odd as 80% of people I speak to say leave!

They are probably factoring in the Ex Pats in Spain who will all vote to stay and are also thinking that the Scots will vote on mass to stay as well. Then there is the coming BBC debates at Wembley Arena when the BBC will bias the broadcast towards the stay faction as they have done so far and will continue to do so with a frenzied campaign in the last week with Obama probably sticking his oar in as well. So yes the bookies are probably smack on the money.

I think history is going to judge Cameron harshly, his rhetoric about offering a vote and then the threat leaving the eu if he didnt get a good deal has been shown to be nothing but a calculated sham to win the election by grabbing ukip's platform, not a farage supporter but DC has shown to be no better than Blair in conning the public

A pathetic performance all round and I voted for him. Where do we go next ? It may have to be UKIP but I am afraid Farage will have to find some quality candidates first and not some of the dodgy characters he has been saddled with in the past.

Remain is 1/3 on to win with Paddy Power. Thats a 33% return on your cash, tax free. Its like they are giving away free money, Remain will win by a decent margin.

If you are a Leave voter, a decent punt on Remain has got to make sense - you either win the vote, in which case you don't care about losing the money, or you lose the vote but have a decent windfall to soften the blow.
