Thats what puts me off trying them out. Have an image in my head that they’d be more flighty then the quiet strain of Lleyns I’m trying to breed to the flock. Rightly or wrongly I’d imagine theyd be more like the long lanky Lleyns that go running anytime you’d get anywhere near.
the more they are handled the quieter they get of course .and that passes on to the ofspring / home bred replacements.

Our Exlana are'nt wild btw.

Sod the the caravan. You'll get a decent night out in Fort William(y)(y)a

The Clachaig Inn at Glencoe is a good night and often live music and a great atmosphere. @Nithsdale Farmer for eating out I would recommend The Glencoe Hotel, it's part of the Crerar group and reasonably priced. Your knee will be fine going up, it's coming back down you will really feel it. If conditions are poor, there are lots of great walks around Glencoe that are spectacular. The hidden valley etc.

I know I’ve spent three times as much on feed as normal and have less lambs to show for it

That £23 is not just cake is it?
started about mid dec on Dennis Brinnicombe liquid feed,easi-sheep 22, they seem to do well on it but taken a lot more, find it a good way to feed sheepwhen the ground is wet but it is a lot dearer than cake...and then we had to feed cake from mid feb aswell this year. Run 800 swales which scanned at 218% so have to get plenty feed into them.

Around £10 a head here for March lambing. Singles got nothing except some licks and had them in minimum of time. Thankfully had enough hay to help

That’s what I would normally do but this year I am still using cake and they are knocking me over to get it. Licks were just not enough and the lambs are still not growing as they should as grass is very slow to get going
