Lamb laxative

Had a few mismothered lambs and we all know that colostrum is what clears the system out but what to give when nothing's moving and watery mouth is in sight.Usually tube of soapy water uphill to get the black moving but if there's nothing coming, is there anything to give from the top end?

About 5ml of olive oil helps if mixed in with a small bottle of early milk from a ewe (under 50ml). If the lamb hasn't had Scourhalt, I'd add a ml of that into the drink, too.

Bit of liquid paraffin always does the trick for me, or as @primmiemoo said, squirt of olive oil.

Seen a vet use liquid paraffin and a latex tube up the back end.

Thanks for the replies, but tried all the above. Sometimes they've worked, sometimes not. Lost a beautiful ewe lamb today and it's so annoying when there's nothing to help

Watery mouth is darn awful, when they get it proper manner ...there isn't anything that will really sort it other than luck imo.
Those bacteria multiply so much they just dont stand a chance .
Just accept It though and dont beat yerself up ..

Bicarb soda (stuff you bake with) helps. Mixed with warm water and tube the lamb
