Remembered this morning.
I thought it was just snake oil tbh when I was given a bottle too try. But now I’m a big believer in it, when no amount of swinging and dropping will get them going it’s amazing that this brings a few more of them around. (Still get the odd one that point blank refuses too start breathing but that’s life)

once saw a vet put something like that on an umbilical chord bought the lamb round instantly. Where do you get that from and how much ?

Ketosiad and a huge jag of Calcium Magnesium and Glucose always works the best here. But if they are too far gone it's just prolonging the agony.

Intravenous glucose can help if you know how to find a vein

The Dallophylil Gel or what ever it was called was amazing stuff, and it was the Vets that used it but they used to give us a tube of it.

I have a funny feeling it would be some sort of steroid or class A drug that no doubt people starting using for purposes other than animals and so was withdrawn.

You put it under a calves tongue and you could see the heart go from faint to pounding quickly in about 10 seconds.

I don't see a massive difference with the Dopram drops in comparison to the gel we used to get.
Dopram drops were brilliant, when we rarely have to take a majorly tricky lambing to our vet that stuff would revive ones I thought were dead. It was withdrawn from sales it before I managed to get a bottle in the med cabinet, been kicking myself since!

Iv given ewes with twin lamb red bull in the past to give them a sugar rush but not had any cases twin lamb in a couple years
Or the caffeine...? The sugear/caffeine combo seems to work with teenagers...

My son was at Brecon a couple of years ago doing his Battleschool course after Sandhurst, and he and his mates survived on Nescafe sachets that he'd the foresight to buy before going down... as in 2-300 of the things. 2-3 sachets in a mug/drink!

However, to really get the body going after a night on duty, a few cans of Red Bull had been smuggled in... ;)

In my opinion, it is actually foul stuff...
