That’s how I skin aswell, it’s a complete onsey then, I havnt skinned in 2 years, I put a knife in from the ribs down to the pelvis, emptying all the blood into a bucket below, put the live lamb into the blood and swill it around, if not much blood put some water in the gutted lamb and swill around and pour into the bucket too, usually 95% will be back out within 36hours, 50% out within 24 hours. @neilo has started doing some like this too as it’s seconds compared to skinning especially when there is a lot to do.
So is that everything inside the lamb into bucket? Is there anything on you tube showing this method

Why no!!! It was 2-3 years ago I was knackered one night and couldn’t be bothered to skin so thought I’d cut the skin part of the equation out and just rub the blood on instead as I’ve always rubbed blood off the lamb on the head and parts showing from the skin anyway and it worked 🤷🏻‍♂️ the lamb below didn’t have much blood but adding 250-300ml of water into it and sloshing it around then tipping into bucket allowed enough for the 2 lambs below, 1 was marked and tarred and the other was a triplet born hours before

I’ve had around 40% success rates a lot depends on the lamb you select to go on the ewe, what’s the worst that can happen ? I’d say I have 6 more lambs away this year than pet lambs so it’s always worth a try only takes 5 minutes
