Had 1 joker a few weeks ago who did this every time we saw him. Only got a few terminals in Jan/Feb but got 14 pairs and 5 singles out and a few others in waiting for a 6hr dry spell before going out.

Nuisance doing 75 in Jan and Feb, they need the same amount of checking as 900 in march which is worth it as lambs every time you turn!

I've just about finished lambing 90 outside couldn't wish for better weather.
You haven't been having the 1/4 inch a day with a few inches in between the last 2 weeks then? We're mainly outdoor apart from triplets and singles in at night on March flock. Terminals at the moment and some were in for 8 days before we had 6 hours of dry to turn them out into :0

Been like that here too.

Plenty long dry periods most days, but serious rain the last 10 days/2 weeks. Black lines everywhere with the bike and snacker

How long has the grass you turn the ewes and lambs onto been shut up?
FJ

Since they came inside on new years day.....! Suffice to say the fields resemble that concrete yard. But we were short of grass and it's just one of those things. They'll be getting hay and fodder beet outside plus daily cereal. Gradually catching up with stocking rate changes with the reseed etc so hopefully grass management will improve, by which I mean actually having some for the sheep to eat......

Question. What is the best lamb replacement milk to buy for combined use (normal individual lamb bottles and for use with shepherdess system). Need a milk that's gonna mix well.
