We kicked out 166 ewes today, eased the workload a bit tonight (y)
Another big day kicking out tomorrow and hopefully we’ll be able to work out how many are left to lamb:whistle:
Haha, that’s 40 more than I have to lamb. Still, chucking 20 ewes out here made things simpler and by the end of the week need to bring the next batch in.

If it cheers anyone else up your lambing is probably going better than mine. Started badly with a couple of twins aborted. Then found one with a dead single that appeared full term followed by another that dropped head twisted back under itself and it didn't kick itself back round, never took a breath, neither ewe had shown signs of lambing. Since then it seems every 2nd lamb doesn't want to live, despite best efforts with tubing and heat lamps we lost 3 in the last 12 hours. To make things worse I got a nasty vomiting bug over the weekend and as soon as I recovered from that my back went yesterday morning, I can barely walk.:shifty::cry::spitoutdummy: :meh::sorry:

You’ve got my sympathy. Last month I had the sh1!s for 6 days at the same time the guy working for me had flue and was off nearly a fortnight. I’ve got a cold at the moment. And while I feel rubbish, it’s nothing compared to last month or yourself at the moment. Just remember that the body needs sleep to heal. And good luck.

Back still buggered. Only a twin today, nice lambs but the ewe managed to kill one of those by dropping him in a twisted position. Once in a season might be bad luck, twice is cursed ffs :banghead::poop::poop:

I due to start on Saturday, so I'm in the middle of the worst week of the year. Every time I go into the shed one has prolapsed, aborted or dead. 24 prolapse so far, 2 triplets that mange to push the lot out in the night. I will be glad to have some live lambs now and get going.

Your not on your own, due weekend, 8 prolapses about the same slipped, but on a good note went in 03.30 and a nice big single sucking away so makes a nice change. Hopefully things are on the turn now.

Morning all. I lambed in January my lambs are due their second dose of heptavac this week. Would have bother with stomach fluke and was going to dose ewes and lambs with levacide diamond. Would this cover the lambs for nematodirus?
