Lambing and Pregnancy

A bit of advice please.

My dad and I have a small flock of sheep and are lambing at the moment; the sheep are at my dad's and I go over a couple of times a week to help when he has to go to work.

My wife is 6 months pregnant and I know there are risks about lambing and pregnancy but what sort of risk is she at if she doesn't visit the farm. I shower and change clothes before heading home but how stringent should my precautions be?

My sibling and sib-i-law made certain that the shepherd did all the washing of work clothes and footwear.

Other than that - and, of course, vigilance around reasons for any premature or sickly lambs - I don't think they did much else.

They are both long-term keepers of sheep, so that might have had a bearing on their system.

{Edit to add Best Wishes, and good luck with everything, @GeorgieB82 .
Really am blaming lambing brain for the omission last night.}
