Looking for a cheap camera to put in the lambing shed if anyone knows of any? It's away from home so no wifi which all cameras seem to be at the minute, not a massive budget so any help greatly appreciated!

Got 1 of these, just ordered a second one for a part of the shed I can’t see with the current one. £80 and £10 delivery.

Depends on the layout of your shed.and what quality of image you need. Standard. (point in one direction ) cameras are under £100. Decent ptz £300 upwards. Very much a case of you get what you pay for with cameras

If it's the Reolink GO PT, I have one since last Summer. I wouldn't be comfortable relying on it in a lambing shed, it doesn't have the zoom necessary for clarity. Might be OK for a calving camera as everything is bigger, but I wouldn't have it for lambing, or I would have a few of them which puts up the budget.

Just put up a Livestock Eye 4g rotating camera, works great. The company send very clear instructions, basically just download the app and zap the camera's QR code. They also put a £10 bundle on the SIM for you. You get a choice of SIM, we went for O2 as the signal is good up at the shed. The picture quality is unbelievably good, day (colour) and night/infrared. Highly recommend them.

One bit of hassle with O2 (and maybe all? phone companies), they text a code to activate the SIM card. So you have to take the SIM card out of the camera, put it in an old phone, and get the texted code in order to activate an account so you can top up when needed. O2 also currently won't let you add another phone number to your account 😡, we used my email address to make a new account. Bit of a pain on their part.
