Lambing cameras for remote shed?

Is there any way of having cameras in a shed that I use for lambing that is not near to where I live? 2 mile away.

Would a dongle be ok as an internet source?
Can I then access the live footage on my phone?
Ability to record would be an advantage as it would be used as outside cctv when not needed for the sheep.
Simple terms please:shy:

Thanks(y)

Do you mean using a 3G/4G SIM card in your mobile dongle? Or can you access a wifi router somewhere near ;) The latter would be more reliable, and MUCH MUCH cheaper.

But yes, you can hook a camera to your dongle, either by wireless or hardwired, then onto the wonder that is the internet. :)

Like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIM-Card...057544?hash=item4b2f4c01c8:g:TFYAAOSwpINaInLe

This unit states :Data is only used whilst viewing live/recorded images

Pretty essential, I would say!

PS. I like the option to run off a 12v battery. Pop a solar panel on a nearby roof and good to go on an outlying shed. However, the camera pulls 1amp I think it said, so panel sizing needs some consideration.

There is a camera which links to your phone via a SIM card. It costs £10/month for 2 GB data. Rydale Horse Monitor 360PTZ. It can run off a 12V battery or off mains. The phone app is free.
