Lambing essentials for first timer!!

And if you are new to sheep and lambing time, either always wear disposable gloves, or wear a boiler suit with a flap in the back.
There was someone on here that claimed they hadn't changed any clothes for three weeks over lambing once, admittedly while also doing another job. Then he said that folk only lambed outside because they were too lazy to do a 'proper' lambing 😂

I think the best thing you can do is just walk away and leave them to lamb on there own !!

A novice with 20 sheep will probably create more problems than they will resolve....... just saying.

You do realise you will barely get one sheep lambing per day.
Yes I do intend to keep out of the way. But I do need to watch out for problems and be prepared to help. When I first got them I was missing a few vital things and was kicking myself...

The man, the myth, the legend @BELOWAVERAGE

He's gone from an employee to a tenant to a farm owner, so that's something I respect hugely and wish to emulate. Although I will probably lamb outside and wash more.

I think your putting words in my mouth, not ashamed of working hard to achieve my goal, in fact the next chapter makes anything I've done in the past look like a walk in the park, but to my knowledge I have never said people who lamb outside are too lazy to do a proper lambing, we've tried lambing outside here it doesn't work, too many corvid's, but I can't see as I would describe some one who lambs outside as lazy.(but some times I surprise myself by what I've said, you may be right)

Not putting words in anyone's mouth, I actually thought it was another poster who I can't tag but my memory isn't what it was and @unlacedgecko is a reliable witness!

me liking it in Apr 18.

See above. I take no offence that you think/thought that an outdoor lambing system as I run is lazy. Did find it rather funny that your alternative was to work so hard that you didn't have time to change your pants!
You sir are twisting my words, and I find it rather pathetic that you and your little mate have nothing better to do, than go through 6 years of post's and throw pathetic insult's, its a pity you two aren't as intelligent as you are arrogant.

Hell that's a bit strong.

You're someone I look up to and I've met in real life. I can recall a lot of your posts quite easily.
