Just curious about sheep slats...
what are people’s thoughts on them? Does anyone lamb on slats or is that a no go?
Are they worth the money?

Any help would be appreciated thanks

No problems been lambing on slats for over 30 years, first timber then they were replaced with concrete
How do you find the concrete slats what the feet like on them? Have a man coming here in may to dig 2 4ft tanks in a shed was going to put mesh slats in it but concrete probably a bit cheaper?

Feet will be ok as long as sheep don’t go in with foot rot

these were installed in ‘96 in bad weather at lambing I can hold sheep in and just bed slats with straw it can be scraped off after easily. 4’ should be easy mixed if you can get pig slurry might be safer to have a sump at the end to let an agitator into

That's the job, yea hope to put an 8ft sump at the end of it, was hoping the shed will hold a few more sheep with the slats in once I have extra feed space made
