Thanks for recommending this, our local toolstation had it in stock so I've picked one up this afternoon an it's spot on, just what I needed. Just been out to check around and it worked perfectly

That was the only thing l liked about lmbing outside, when it got dark that's it for the day, bloody nightmare in the morning usually, cold lmbs, dead lmbs, hung lmbs, as said unless your on sheltered, dry ground and plenty area is not great.

It’s all swings are round abouts. There is no ‘right’ way of doing things, there are deffo lots of wrong ways, but what’s right is usually right for your farm, your own personal situation, your market etc.

Have you used any? Any recommendations?

I carry an S2 Baton all the time.
my go too for night timeuse is a seeker 2.
Not the cheapest but I think they are virtually indestructible.

I’m guessing your outdoor lambing? We’ve never checked at night, may get the odd big head in the morning but I don’t think it’s worth disturbing them at night. Last check here at 5pm.

Stockholm tar spray on every lamb, havnt lost a single lamb to foxes this year.

No, pure amount of afterbirth etc a fox is never going to challenge a ewe if there’s bits laying around.

I've got 2, the head torch and the warrior X, bloody good torches. Just to note, they charge through the on/off button, took me ages to figure it out!

The warrior X will throw light for a kilometre, seems about right!

Big makita here, very handy as we have a few batteries so never need to constantly recharge it, just grab another battery. Very good light
