Lambing

Hi all, we have always used iodine to dip lambs navels in but someone has told me that ferric chloride is meant to be better? Anyone got any experience on this?

10% iodine asap, here.

I seldom catch a cold after the first few days of lambing. Wash off any spillages from hands soon after they happen, and the staining is minimal.

4 parts 10% Iodine and 1 part surgical spirit on the indoor lambers here, applied asap and again a few hours later if possible.
Outdoor lambers get nothing, or need it.:)
