Lambs on red clover

Grazing a pure red clover cover crop on an organic farm, last year the lambs went really well on it, this year after being on one week we have noticed a couple abit hunched as though they have belly ache. One of these achieved it's ultimate goal this morning and is now at the hunt kennels.

Last year there was abit of chicory in the mix, so has the absence of that caused me a problem? Just coincidence or do they have too much of a good thing? they're not scouring or messy.

Not really, we lost that ground the year after as the owner started to rent land and space to a vegan society (for functions) which paid a lot better than me! I think the deaths were just sheep being sheep, and its a shame we lost it as they put on meat like crazy.
