I have a lamb that went lame 5 days ago, turned her over the and no signs of anything wrong so a assumed she had just hurt it some how. Anyway still limping yesterday so turned her over again and now has a swelling under the skin in between the clee's, put some pressure on the swelling and a white puss came out like a giant spot.

No sign of any damage or cuts around the foot and the rest of the foot is fine no foot rot also the skin the puss is under is not damaged or wet.

Any ideas?

If it's evacuated already, I'd give a spray of terramycin/engemycin to the place, and possibly give a jab of oxytet - although I'd only jab if it's burning hot and swollen.

If there's still some puss, I'd apply a light cold poultice and careful bandage ~ the animalintex medicated wadding from the horsey shelves in the ag. merchant is a useful thing to have in the medicines box, activated with clean water. Change poultice daily, and put a dry piece of wadding on third and probably final day.
