LAMMA 2018 Travel

Aim to arrive at 10.30 and leave at 3.30. Journey time by rail or car is about an hour.
Convenience more important than cost.
Which is best?
Is there a long walk on the car park? Are there long waits for buses to and from the station.

We travel down from durham by rail. We have very little wait for the shuttle busses too and from lamma. On the return we usually pop into the pub opposite the station for a shandy or two. Makes a nice day of it.

My son is going with college mates.
They have booked a hotel for tonight.
College lecturer has given them the afternoon off so can now travel best part in daylight. All praise to Mr Bond!
Is it better given the weather to head across via Oxford then up or up to Birmingham then across? Whats the forecast like Midlands?

I haven’t been for a few years so won’t be much use on info for the site itself but weather here is just cold and windy for the next few days. We are about 80 miles away though so could be different in Peterborough.

What’s the car parks like and getting in and out today? Might have a venture there tomorrow if it’s reasonable to get in and out
I drove straight in at 8am no queuing at all, car park was absolutely fine, may be different when this lot has left. The car parks appeared full and the showground extremely busy, so imagine tomorrow will be quieter.

As you can see car park is fine at the moment, considering the amount of rain in the last month they're holding up well. Of course by 5pm in places it will be a mud bath.
