Well that is the first day done. What are people's views so far? I went with an open view and personally i have more positive than negative thought's. All in all a great day out away from the farm [emoji16]

yes went today and yes I agree was better than I was thinking nice to know will be two days with no weather issues and was nice not to have big coat ,, people on the stands seemed to be positive about it also ,,,, but proof in the pudding is next year ?

To far to go there are other shows in the year more local

The most important factor post brexit is can the Lamma show compete with the internet and visiting the dealer / manufacturer direct

Smithfield died because it took a long time to get to and the cost to exhibit
Compared to other shows

Never gone as TOO far away on East Coast now just about manageable now so hope a good visit .
Feed back off people gone today is first class like old Smithfield days.
Even if most off small or average Farmers price ranges .

Personally found the drive ok considering rush hour, airport link etc, getting in fine no que even for those needing to register. Layout ok once we got our heads around the halls. Never felt crouded. Polite dealers, public also.
Nice atmosphere, and if anything to warm in shirt and gillet. A change from peterborough!
Only negative would be that id of liked to see some bigger names but that is not a problem. If you want to try a machine, implement get a demo. Also nice to see the smaller name's showing face. Wifi i did not bother with. . I never went to sit on my phone. Only down side for me was the food hall. 2 of us ordered food at the same time, same meal but for whatever reason received mine 45min later, 20 min after my friends, and was cold. I may of just been unlucky by no mean's will that stop me looking forwards to next year's

Great to get to for us compared to Peterborough or Newark, only just over the hour on the train and nice to be warm and dry.
Thought we'd be able to spend more time looking round rather than travelling but found we'd pretty much seen most things by lunchtime and was home by 5. Definitely a smaller show imo but noticeable absences from Deere, claas, New Holland, case, etc which is a shame.
All in all probably a positive experience but would be nice to see some more exhibitors next year.

Went today, piece of cake to get in. Early bird breakfast was very poor long queue and had run out of somethings. I found the show really difficult to get round didn't find it flowed at all and was very cramped. Would I go again, only if I was looking for something specifically

Yes positive really - not the lamma we knew from Newark, but times change. Access was better than both previous venues.
NEC is fully geared up to lots of people at exhibitions - so it functions!

A shame the big names weren’t there.

But slightly more frustrating was there was less of the smaller “household “ names , portec bird bangers etc . I fully understand thar their sales on the day won’t cover the cost of the stand . This also doesn’t help start ups or very small local companies.

P.S sorry I didn’t get on to the TFF stand , I was to busy discussing the options of an agrifac sprayer for 150 acre grass farm :whistle::playful::playful::banghead:
