Personally I like the Royal Highland show but think it’s just getting over priced nowadays, £10 car park and £27 entry makes an expensive day out by the time you get there n back and have something to eat or drink, but also think Lamma is too cheap being free, yes keep it free parking as that helps traffic flow but could easily charge £15/£20 entry to help bring down stand prices

The Royal Highland Show is cheap compared to the Balmoral Show, it's £20 entry and £8 to park and you'll see most of it in 2 hours.

Why if Lamma can keep it free entry the. It’s a cheap day out to have a look what the trade has to offer. These stands are all feeding off us so if they want to be seen they need to pay the price to be there.

surely they could still do it as they do with the pre register tickets but charge a little bit for them so you can still print off ticket or download onto phone then just swipe as you go through like they do now and they wouldn't need to worry about extra staff to take money or security for cash on site

All that registration comes at a cost, lots of points all around the concourse where you could register, all with several staff to pay.
LAMMA of old there were none of these to pay, so not sure who’s paying for them now, LAMMA or the NEC, ultimately it must be the exhibitors.

Surly the Highland show is the best show in the country, yes it expensive to get in and rolls and hog roast is crazy money, but the animals and the machinery lines are great, a great family day out and one day yourself if your lucky. And the weather the last few years has be good aswell.

Might be the best in Scotland if that's what you mean but a long way from the best in the country

The price of grub there is a scandal, all down to the greed of the directors.
