Can see more people from Offa's Dyke making the trip to Brum than Peterborough, but then maybe fewer from other areas might balance it out..

Last weekend we went to the motorcaravan and caravan show at the NEC and must have walked over a mile to get in. (Yes I am sad!) I am sceptical that the show will remain free, also won't the earlier date clash with the Oxford / Real Oxford farming conferences?

Just been announced that LAMMA will move to the NEC from 2019. With 2018 being the last at Peterborough.

Looks like it will be a week earlier or so, the 8th & 9th January and on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thoughts?
Thank god for that, blo'dy cold place, NEC is one hour from, but central for a lot of people. Three counties show ground would of been nice near Malvern, but you cant have every thing i suppose.

Surely it won’t all fit in there will it??
- Ooooh, Matron!

Trudging around a muddy field and assorted sheds and tents in Peterborough in the dark was a dismal way to spend a day.
Having it at the NEC will be like going back to Smithfield, hopefully without the shite catering: £6.50 for a slice of :poop: bacon in a burger roll.

rarely ever free parking at the NEC - its not the end of the world cost however for a free entry show and hotels etc will be much more plentiful and cheaper options , travel for many will be closer and therefore cheaper

Won’t be any closer to those of us in the northern half of the country [emoji849]

no reason for prices to rise IMO - livestock at NEC is no more expensive than LAMMA and its a much smaller show

Livestock is probably not a good example - it collapsed after last years show and doesn’t exist anymore.

If as suggested it is going to remain free entry, and as stated elsewhere LAMMA are covering the car park cost, then the money has to come from somewhere - exhibitors stand costs?

We have a 40m x 15m plot at LAMMA with tankers irrigators - all substantial pieces of kit. I dread to think what that is going to cost at the NEC, also is there the floor area at the NEC to match the current show ground ?

My hope is that this doesn’t end up being another Dairy / Livestock event, and quickly running itself into the ground.

At last! We won’t be held to ransom by a few hotels..... will look forward to the best curry after a day in the warm rather than deep fried shite at a premier inn after having a hot bath to defrost! Our colleagues can fly in and out easier. Perfect I’d say but have it every other year
