Do you have a local friendly dealer who may be able to let you use a gator or similar?

Always makes me smile at US farm progress when the Americans all turn up with gators in the back of their pickups.

Watched one guy drive Down a row, stopping at every booth who had something free, jump out grab a handful then jump back in.

And yes some of them were rather large and they wonder why :)

Sadly, there is quite some stigma attached to mobility scooters and the like, some of our shows are now so big and cover vast acreages, there are quite a lot of people who are sadly unable to fully enjoy them.

I include myself in this, and will be honest, I would be quite embarrassed to use one, because of the attached stigma. I have MS outwardly look fine, and have no problem walking short distances for short periods of time, you would not know from my gait, or anything visible, I have MS.
I simply can not physically cover large shows, If anyone has been to the NEC the path back to the car park is a slight incline, for me at the end of a days show, it is a killer, I can by the end of the day, probably manage that ramp in say 20 steps and stop & rest, etc etc, until I once again get onto level ground.

This said, often they are misused, but, it is worth remembering, that not everyone you see on one, even if they can get off and walk about, are abusing them.

Hope this does not come across as preachy, it is not intended.

Totally agree I ve seen people use them and think ....... but if it stops me going because I m 100% fit but my leg is still swollen so I can't walk far then I would consider using one .Plus a day out might help to lift my spirits

I honestly don't think people attach any stigma to users of them ? I certainly dont

I think its probably more a self conscious thing for many (which I understand)

I suppose the stigma is "look at the person using that - no wonder so fat" etc. I must admit I do think that sometimes about some people - but its probably deeply unfair and judgmental.

I can relate. Suffered with ME for 25 yrs now. You look fine from the outside but standing or shuffling kills me so always looking for a perch at these shows. It then looks rude talking to people when you are sitting down!

That said I am on a stand for one day (stool reserved!) which day is busiest, never been before?

To be honest I have no idea, @JP1 would be the man to ask.
