Land Drainage Costs

That was just trying it in the ground last Feb, frost was just coming out, yes soft ground will be a problem as the limiting factor is traction not power, will more so depend on subsoil type. Doubt there are many diggers could bury pipe and backfill on grade at 2kph.
Any way early days will see how it goes.

definetly agree its a very quick n efficent way to get a lot done, very different thing draining a block of arable ground every so many meters to tapping into springs, broken stone drains etc

Yes I agree, I'll just have to see how it goes:scratchhead: I plan to pre rip with a single leg to help with the draft also find any big stones which can be dug out. I'm thinking if we cross old drains etc I'll just have to go back and tie them in after if I see water. Time will tell!
Cheers.

  1. I would be having a look to see if you can make any sence of what drains are already there, and try and work with them

Just diving in with a trench less drainer will probably create more work than digging a system in

Looking at getting some proper land drains put into our grass paddocks, what sort of costs would I be looking at? Is it worked out per acre or per m?

Anyone know of Land drainage companies in the North West?

Hello,

I had a similar thing to do last year and ended up doing it myself and saved lots by getting the underground drainage pipe fittings from an online company

They have a wide variety of pipe fittings and they are the cheapest online for all drainage pipes and are very good to work with. They will also advise you on anything you need to do.

I wouldn't bother, it's too expensive(n)

Was only replying to the post, due to company mascara-ding as a happy customer !!!!!
If someone wants to come on here and sell their wares, I have no problem with that, but do it honestly.(y)
But to come on here and pretend to be a happy customer of your own business and sing praise of said company, doesn't inspire confidence for me to do business with them (n)(n)
