I’ve never used raptor coat , I presume it’s good stuff ? Good price! Have you used it on galv before ? Stick ok and no react ?

lt's brilliant stuff, better than the galv under it

It is ok applied to galv, lots do so

Pricey for paint but not crazy cost if you are doing a good job of this

Obviously noone would ever dream of doing such a thing, but has anyone cut out the old chassis number and welded it into a replacement Galv one thn painted it etc, as I am led to believe they're not stamped?

You can order them stamped the same as the one you are replacing from Marsland !

Done a few (7) over the last few years, some marsland others Richards and they are much the same, I feel I won't need to tell you this but when you have it all to bits put a polybush kit on it and replace the clutch and timing belt if it has one, changed a chassis in 3 days once, easy if you have access to a telehandler

Thats interesting - as I was told nope, they will not stamp them only laser cut which is gonna be like the original swiss cheese chassis.

if you watch "Maker" on youtube (great defender conversions) there is a bit about Marsland chassis there where he shows the stamped numbers requested

We spent just over £6500 on our 110 high cap.
Chassis £3000, new cylinder head £1500 and other bits including half shafts, new clutch etc over £2000. No labour included either. A big expense but it is like new underneath.

Given that any half decent ( open to discussion ) 110 in road worthy condition with some life left in it is going to be £20+k, a 6 grand spend to re-fettle what you already know is cheap and arguably money well spent.

Does anyone know of a replacement galv chassis for a Daihatsu Sportrak

Not touched it since MOT fail in July 2019. Stuck under a dry shed. BIL got it new in 1994 but he has replaced it with a Jimny.
Mechanicals good.
Just thinking if replacement couldn’t be bought the old one could be used as a pattern but if it’s rotted away ……..
