Larch as fencing ?

What is the durability of larch as a fence post ? I know it has natural weather resistance as cladding etc but wondered how it survived in the ground ?

Theres a big difference between European Larch verses Japanese Larch or Hybrid Larch.

European larch is slower growing and boat builders go mad for it. The others are faster growing and the timber isn’t as durable.
