Anybody got one and if so is it money well spent?

No more or less than anything else i would say. I was using mine on peas and it was great at 5 in the morning just before sunrise. i could stand and put pigeons out of all the surrounding trees on a 60 acre field with ease. I am anticipating that it will be good on the rape to in these cloudy dull conditions. The instant the beam goes on them they disappear in a hurry which surprised me as i thought it seemed a bit of a gimmick.I also like the look of these.
But how much does it discourage the birds from returning?
Does it need to be pretty dull to work ? What sort of range ?I bought a laser pointer from Bangkok for about £5. Does exactly the same thing.
Plenty on ebay for less than a tenner.
Might be worth a try ! Had look on eBay ! What colour of beam would you suggest ?It does work better on a dull day but I expect that is the same for the "proper" one.
Range is further than you can see.
god forbid the crows wouldn't be able to find my farmyard with damaged eyesThese things damage humans eyes. Will they damage animals eyes?
Well, there`s not many better reasons to get up in a morning - not just too sure what I`d tell `er indoors ..........(definitely beats hen racing though..)Not really keen on getting up at silly o clock to chase birds round the farm with a hand held device!
