That’s the top of the list, little reserved about saving a little bit on the cheapy one.You won’t go far wrong with a spectra (Trimble) Lee

Topcon, i have the bigger more expensive RL-SV2 me and my brother in law who's a builder share and its an awesome laser
Is that the dual grade one with remote control ?.
If so I was originally looking to get that one but instead opted for a Leica 680 dual grade with lithium battery, charger and better rod eye. It worked out to be about two thirds what the Topcon was.
Are Topcon and Spectra/Trimble still using nickel batteries in these units? A lithium battery will be superior to the nickel ones.Yup, thats the one. Topcon, Spectra and Leica all make good lasers

Bringing this back from the dead!
Just tentatively looking, ideas what’s best please?

@eulb how’s yours and more importantly how is your ‘bargin’ basement one @Daniel?
Single slope will do thst , you just need to ensure laser is positioned at top or bottom of slope and you set with recieved at other end ,Thanks for all the advice. If I want to put a 300mm slope on say a 42m shed floor or say a 200 mm slope on 30m of draining , Do I need a dual beam laser or is there ways of doing it with a single beam ?
I picked up a Fukuda FRE-301R a number of months ago to use around the farm. Didn’t want to spend too much on one to use once in a blue moon but for the price, you get a lot. A few friends have barrowed it who work in the building/construction business when their kit is at another site and they have been very impressed. Simple things like dual grade, 90 degree squaring were a bonus.
For the occasional use, it has nearly everything in one unit and little money.
Yes from what I see there it is fully adjustable on grade and even has a remote control. The one I borrowed which looked just like that one certainly was.@Ray will that do single slope for laying drains?
Chinese no doubt but these must be worth a look for anyone with low usage. 3 years warranty, remote control, along with a purchase price less than my Trimble cost to repair. I borrowed one similar to this when mine was down and it worked very well.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Automati...961037&hash=item488e957ac0:g:xVMAAOSwOVpXVkvr..
As its from Germany there will be 19% local VAT included on that price. If you're VAT registered, try contacting the seller and see if they'll zero rate it for you.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Automati...961037&hash=item488e957ac0:g:xVMAAOSwOVpXVkvr

@Pheasant Surprise
Will there be any import tax/ duty on these
Sorry, I just scanned Bremen, Germany at the top of the ad super quickly.Just seen at the bottom of the page when looking for email address, that it comes from China but says Germany at the top near postage details
So where is it coming from????
The business seller is showing a UK VAT Reg so you should be able to claim something there. At these prices who cares where it's coming from.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Automati...961037&hash=item488e957ac0:g:xVMAAOSwOVpXVkvr
