Last Milk

How long before first milk do everyone a favour and throw in the towel ?
They are trading whilst insolvent , taking 2p /litre so called capital contributions , to prop up their losses , from an already dire milk price . No one will see that money back , everyone realises that .
They should hang their head in shame .

All the other milk companies will be in to 'pick at the bones', they know it will likely happen and will want to get First Milk's assets for nothing. Sad but likely true i'm afraid.

the milk market is an ongoing race- not one of these pathetic races in primary school where were all winners just for taking part- one where there are winners and there are losers..... If first milk fold then there has to be someone else at the bottom to take their place

Lots will be left without a milk buyer though, especially those small herds in remote areas, as well as losing a month or so's milk cheque. It will be like DFoB all over again, but without another co-op to step in and pick up the stragglers.

From outside, it does look very much like the Greek debacle. A train crash happening in slow motion, but an almost inevitable outcome.:(

Well it was the best thing to happen to DFoB.
