Need a bit of info the late mf 135s are the fuel tanks black??

That was my thinking
But this is a genuine 1 owner 2000hr tractor so bit confused really he cant recall a replacment tank fitted

Just a satin finish not primer
Its a genuine tank aswell it might be a replacment that the owner dosnt know about if it was leaking when in dealers for a repair under warranty you never know possibly the dealer never told the owner etc etc....
Tryed doing abit of research but not much info on the fuel tank its like platting fog grey would look better
I will do abit more digging

I would think it would be grey, as they only went black after plastic tanks, 590 etc were grey, but replacement tanks were black

100 series were red to begin with then grey and later ones black

was in the back of a old mf dealers deepest darkest old store sheds the other week and there was some new tanks and mudgards ,,, geniue massey spare parts in a matt black primmer

The very last new135 i saw when new had quick detach Q cab fitted I dont recall the cab being dealer fitted i think it would have been around 1978 they were not in the mf catalogue in 79 so must have been discontinued i think it may have had a black tank from what i recall but not 100% its possible at they where being made up from bits and pieces on run out , but more likley would have had something to do with the paint process i suspect .
maybe the skid was painted and the tin work fuel tank and cab fitted later ?

I have 1977 model, all seems original and fitted with the 'larger volume' black fuel tank.

All the 100 series i have owned from 1973 m reg or newer have black tanks
