Same here.Been all through a couple of fields of WB today, pulling wild oats.
Amazingly, it's all far greener now than it was three weeks ago when going through same fields second time.
Secondary tillering, grasses and blw all only to be expected after the recent rain.
But even the main tillers, straw and the grain, seem to be so much greener, too.
Its a wonder you ever get any wheat sown much after then up there, generally buggered here by mid Oct 9/10 years & iam south of Scottish boarders but similar North Easterly Cold Winds off that SeaLate harvest? Wheat will be the end of September if not October here. Same with the spring oats. The same as every year before this one.
Wheat can be in the ground for 13months. My wosr will be in the ground for nearly a year till it’s cut.
