Late wild oat spray.

I sprayed some of my wheat with it's T1 last week and added 0.1l/ha moddus grudgingly. It's now looking more scorched than I would like to see and now I'm faced with the decision as to whether to add topik I think for wild oats in with the T2 when the time comes or leave it. Normal treatment is hamlet etc in the spring, easy.
Is it too much? leave it or spray asap or tank mix as suggested?

Now it's had some rain it should soon perk up. I'd go now asap that's what I do.
I will go a week either side of T1 this year because of the frosts and drought I haven't done either yet but plan is T1 asap then topik 5-7 days later.

Topik alone or with adjuvant only though. Had mixed results when adding fungicide especially when dry but doubt a problem now with all this rain and should work well now.

I always go separate with 1lt/ha phase 2 or equivalent.

Usually use Foxtrot but didn't this year for a variety of reasons.
The plan is Topik in with the T2. Agronomist seemed fine with that.

If the crop is scorched I would bet money it is because of the biting cold winds we have had recently rather than the 0.1 of moddus. The way moddus and CCC etc are talked about on here you would think they are bottled high level radioactive waste.

I would let the crop recover and motor on, then apply the topik with an adjuvant a bit later before the wild oats become tillered out monsters.

The problem with that is that the wild oats are potentially much larger by that stage which is not ideal from a resistance standpoint. But you know your oats better than anyone so will be up to the grower to decide on the strategy long term. If you can get them down to hand pulling levels that is as good as anything.

yeah do a bit of that also.

The issue is being able to hit them with a spray. You either do it when the crop is prostrate and open so the oats are exposed, or wait until they start to grow above the crop, (T2 or later) again exposing them. In between they can be sheltered by the crop, though that may not be much of an issue this year with the state of some wheat crops.
