Showers are expected to break out down the spine of England as a trough of low pressure moves across the country. These will extend from the Pennines to the Midlands and southeast England, with showers becoming frequent in places by afternoon with some heavy and thundery bursts possible. Scotland will just a few showers mostly in the south. Otherwise, for many coastal areas, much of Wales, SW England and Northern Ireland it should be often dry with sun. Bit on the chilly side for the end May with Highs of 13 to 18C / 55 to 64|F
