After being scared by the prices of lawn tractors I'm thinking of making a reverse drive Fordson Major (or Dexta) that could have a 3 pt linkage mounted mower and be an excuse for another Major.

I saw a reverse drive major in the 80's close to @massey765 's patch and it should just be a case of spinning the diff and making a linkage for the steering.
If @Dave W would watch out for a mower I'd be sorted.

Meanwhile the grass will be 20 feet high by the time I make it. :(

Best just carry on looking for a proper mower. :unsure:

Get a sheep or two to graze it,job sorted.:rolleyes:

OK.....what about an old Sanderson forklift. Drop rear counterweight, and mast......fit some sort of front linkage....and somehow use hydraulics to power mower...:wtf::LOL:
