Latest sowing date for spring wheat?

Yes watch out for mildew, noted (y)

Leggy well, Trouble is I found that pgr was too hard on it and knocked irreparably in a stressful 'lack of rain' / not good growing period (n)

And grain will be small enough as well without using a high seedrate.

I've had the stuff so thick and tall you can barely walk through it. You would think it was a winter crop but for the colour of it.

They must be better at growing it than me :)

About now when its fit enough to drill is about as late as I would want to go, as trouble is when it starts to dry it might frazzle up really dry for a month or so :ROFLMAO::(

We have drilled spring wheat at the end of March a few times and it has always done about 7-8t/ha. I can’t see the point of mauling in winter wheat in hideous conditions through the winter and still spending more money on it when we can get that yield for little cost.
We did Pre book the seed when it started raining in September though so we have paid a normal price for it not these crazy prices I have heard quoted.
