The wrap count on our Super Pac wrapper started only counting to two before it froze at that were twisted together were loose in the spade terminal block under the machine were loose in the crimp on connector I fixed that now though it doesn't want to work full stop.

Any help other that dousing it in petrol would be appreciated.

I tested the sensor but I have got voltage across it all the time with and without the magnet over it or nowhere near it but I don't know if it is supposed to be off when the magnet is over it or on but I presume it is likely either the switch or the magnet that's no longer working.

I got D.King to sort ours, for about £120.
When it failed again only about 2 uses later, I got one of these, and whilst you have to manually reset it each bale, it is otherwise faultless.

After bypassing the reed switch with a manual switch I think it has got to be that have tried RDS/Topcom to see how much there Silacount or bale wrap controller will work as well as a price otherwise I thing we will end up ordering one those.

Thank you

Is it just a straight forward counter? Or does the wrapper have the electric solenoid that rotates the wrap cutter to release?

Well got a new switch fitted it worked perfect about a dozen times now all it does it buzzes and comes up 8.8.8.8.

Back to the foolproof twine on the solenoid and bright coloured tape on one of the cones at least until I fit the eBay counter and a switch and feed to the solenoid.

Thanks, I will give it a mention but unless it is a simple error I've done I will probably do something like you have done and just fit a simple counter and use the momentary switch I used yesterday to work the solenoid as we don't usually do masses and I have finished for this year now. After finally getting the shot tensioners changed for some Film Technique ones which have made some beautifully wrapped bales I don't want to chop an otherwise perfect little machine for us as some would no doubt suggest.

They are still a good strong machine, we put the Film Technique unit on ours last year.
I like it, it is simple enough even my dad can run it where his response at being shown how to run the baler was "Just don't injure yourself or dare get sick when it come baling time and there won't be an issue."

Just realised speaking to 2 different Davids, feels like back at school with 6 in the class 🤦‍♂️
