LED light radio interference

Had a spare couple of LED lights kicking about after trading a tractor in, old stock tractor had a couple of buggered lights so thought I’d put them to use, it’s a Case MX110, lights are great at lighting up the feeder in the sheds but the radio now is almost unusable, turn the lights off and it’s fine, lights on and it’s white noise, seen a couple of ideas but has anyone done the same and solved it, before I go wasting time and money. TIA

Have a couple of cheap chinese light bars on my main tractor to light up the air Cart behind but it interferes with the cab cam in the seed tanks. Gives a snowing effect. I’d be interested on how to stop this too. Radio I can live without

Spend 10x as much on fancy leds.

They were from spaldings and not cheap, been on the other tractor for 5ish years, no problem on that radio

Sometimes depends how near to the aerial they are but tbh if they are lights which affect the radio they will do it to some extent however near or far from the aerial they are. Change the lights if you can't bide it

Sparex do ferrite sleeve’s that should cut out the interference

In all honesty, don't even f**k around with them. Pull them off, put them in a box for another day/machine, buy a cheap pair of suppressed LEDs and stick them on instead. Some machines and radios play nice with non suppressed LED lights, some don't.

I haven't had much luck with the ferrite core suppressors but you're welcome to try them. The more times you loop the power wire through, the better.

You could always go back to bulbs

Interesting, the lights are on the top back part of the cab roof on this one, right next to the aerial! And they were mounted low down on the front of the tractor I took them off.

The time spent in the old stock tractor is low, the lights are more useful than the radio, just annoying, as it was fine, but I’ll stick with being able to see the slatts turning for now.
